Diana Sofia Santos was crowned Miss Grand Portugal 2017. She is a 21-year-old-3rd year student of Veterinary Medicine Faculty, Évora University, Portugal with the height of 170 cm.
Her hobbies include dancing, going to the gym, volunteering, modeling, acting, traveling and exploring nature.

Her current ambition is to be happy and inspire others to find happiness. She would like to achieve success both professionally and personally. She needs to complete her veterinary medicine course and create a shelter center for abandoned animals.

Animals are her great passion as well as dance and theater. According to Diana, the world would be a better place if we all celebrate love, hope, tolerance and diversity.
Diana Sofia Santos will represent Portugal at Miss Grand International 2017 to be held in Vietnam during this 5 -26 October.

Angie Callychurn is Miss Universe Mauritius 2017

27-year-old mass communications graduate Angie Callychurn was appointed to represent an island nation in the Indian Ocean Mauritius at the upcoming Miss Universe 2017 pageant. The news was confirmed by Estrella Mauritius organization in an Instagram post:

Angie Callychurn is Miss Universe Mauritius 2017.
On Saturday the 23rd of September, all our contestants were invited for an interview and preview. A panel of jury which consisted of people from different walks of life has chosen Angie as the next Mauritian contestant for the forthcoming Miss Universe pageant which will be hosted later this year.
The remaining contestants will all compete for the 2018 Estrella Mauritius pageant which is scheduled on March 17th. Three winners will be crowned, one for Miss Universe 2018, one for Miss Supranational 2018 and the third one for another international pageant.
At this time, all the contestants for the 2018 pageants are getting ready for their competition. We have decided to have our national pageant every year in March, the casting for the following year's pageant in June and we will concentrate on the international pageants in November.
The whole team would like to wish Angie best of luck.

Mister Grand International has its identity as a pageant for men who are athletic, requiring skills to be competitive in nature, at any given sports.
The main objective of this contest is to produce a winner with high morale, in the affairs of sports. As citizens of the world, it is high time that we take the lead in becoming a great example in celebrating the beauty of men through sports.
This contest has two main concepts namely: Camaraderie, and Competitiveness. The winner of this contest must meet two criteria. CAMARADERIE means a winner must have the spirit of sportsmanship that he must carry out during his entire reign. COMPETITIVE man should be energetic and have a good mindset and able to respond positively in the pressures during the competition.
The first edition of Mister Grand International will be held in Manila Philippines. All contestants from around the world will be fetched at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport. The contest will have the concept of selected sports activities during the pre- pageant as this pageant mainly focuses on sports.
The winner of this contest will stay in an exclusive apartment in Manila during his reign and will undergo several sessions, such as sports activities, photo shoots, ramp modeling, fashion shows, TV commercials, speaking engagements, corporate visits, and humanitarian activities in the Philippines and from our partners around the world.

Aletxa Marie Mueses is Miss World Dominican Republic 2017

22-year-old Aletxa Marie Mueses has been chosen to represent the Dominican Republic at the Miss World 2017 pageant in China. She was crowned by Miss World 2016 First Runner-Up Yaritza Reyes in a simple crowning ceremony on September 27, 2017.

It turns out that she's no stranger in the world of pageantry as she was the first runner-up at 2014's edition of Miss Dominican Republic.

Miss World 2017 will be held on 18 November 2017 at the Crown of Beauty Theatre, Sanya, China. Stephanie Del Valle of Puerto Rico will crown her successor at the end of the event

Czech Republic's Reps for Miss Earth, Miss Universe, Miss Supranational Named!

Czech Republic's representatives for 2017's Miss Universe, Miss Earth, and Miss Supranational have been crowned at a crowning ceremony held at DRFG Arena in Brno, Czech Republic on September 23.

21-year-old Michaela Habáňová was crowned the winner of Ceska Miss 2017 pageant. She succeeded  Andrea Bezdekova and will now represent the country at Miss Universe 2017 competition in November.

19-year-old professional model Ivuš Uchytilová was named the Miss Earth Czech Republic 2017 and will fly to Manila for the Miss Earth 2017 finals on November 4, 2017.

24-year-old Tereza Vlcková, meanwhile, took the Miss Supranational Czech Republic 2017 title and will compete in this year's Miss Supranational contest in Poland in December.

Philippines' Toni Alyessa Hipolito is Miss Globe International 2016-2017

Toni Alyessa Hipolito has been appointed as Miss Globe International 2016. The news was confirmed by Kagandahang Flores beauty camp in an Instagram post :

Last year, former Bb. Pilipinas candidate Toni Alyessa Hipolito was scheduled to compete for Miss Globe International. It would have taken place in Turkey but, as you know the war in Syria and the problems caused by this issue - terrorism which threatened Europe and the Mediterranean region - made it impossible to hold the event last year. But in a letter from Miss Globe International president Rasim Aydin to Toni Hipolito, he gladly informed the beauty queen that "you are going to be announced as the 90th Miss Globe International in Antalya, Turkey on October 21, 2017." Aydin further informed Hipolito that "on the gala night of the 91st Miss Globe International, you will hand over the crown to the next titleholder." Apparently, even if the pageant did not push through last year, the pictures of the contestants on the official website and social network account have not been removed and the likes to the posts exceeded 1,000,000 which prompted the beauty organization to select Hipolito as Miss Globe International 2016 Beauty Ambassador. Will Toni pass on the crown to another Filipina? Our delegate is Ina Patricia Gita, who was crowned as Jewel of the Philippines-Globe International last year. She will leave for Turkey very soon along with Hipolito who will be officially installed as the current titleholder. Don't mind the numbers (90th) preceding the pageant title because that is debatable. What is gratifying to know is, technically and officially, two Filipinas have won the crown - Maricar Balagtas (now Mrs. Ferdie Arciaga) in 2001 and Toni Hipolito. Miss Globe International must not be confused with the Miss Globe Pageant that was won by Ann Loraine Colis in 2015 and where Bb. Pilipinas-Globe International Nelda Ibe will compete soon, although the organizers of both pageants were partners many many years ago. The Miss Globe International 2017 finals will be held at the Eftalia Okyanus Hotel in Antalya, Turkey.

Toni was one of the Top 10 semi-finalists during Bb. Pilipinas 2008 and re-joined in Bb. Pilipinas 2010 and in 2015.  Her Tausug princess' mother, Jay Angelique Jaafar was Mrs. Universe-Philippines for 2015 and took the Mrs. Southeast Asia title.


Maricar Balagtas, Miss Universe Philippines 2004, was the first Filipina Miss Globe International winner in 2001. Maricar was Bb. Pilipinas 2001 2nd Runner-Up then and was sent by BPCI for the Miss Globe International competition.

Nicole Lisa Gaelebale has been crowned Miss Botswana 2017 on September 28 at UB Indoor Sports Arena in Gaborone, Botswana.

She succeeded Thata Kenosi and will now represent her country at the Miss World 2017 pageant in China. She bested 12 other beauties including her runners-up Neelo Nthobatsang and Uua Murangi. Nicole was former Miss Global Botswana and competed at Miss Earth 2014 pageant in the Philippines.

Guan Siyu is Miss World China 2017

It's been a night of celebration for the winner of the Miss China 2017 pageant.

Guan Siyu, 23, won Saturday night after 30 candidates from across the country competed for the title in Dalian, China. She was crowned by last year's winner Kong Jing and on the pressures of being Miss World host delegate.

China has won the Miss World crown twice through host delegates Zhang Zilin in the year 2007 and Yu Wenxia in the year 2012.

25-year-old Michaela Söderholm from Helsinki was crowned Miss Suomi 2017 (Miss Finland 2017) on October 1 at the Hotel Kalastajatorppa in Helsinki.

Michaela, the oldest candidate, bested 10 other beauties including her court  Adriana Gerxhalija and Pihla Koivuniemiand who were first and second runners-up respectively. She will now represent her country at the Miss Universe 2017 pageant on November 26 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Finland has two Miss Universe winners through Armi Helena Kuusela in 1952 and Anne Pohtamo in 1975.
