Miss Intercontinental 2017 to be held in Sri Lanka on December 21

Sri Lanka is hosting the Miss Intercontinental pageant for the second time around for two consecutive years.
Organizers of the Miss Intercontinental 2017 competition took to Facebook to confirm that the 46th edition of the pageant will be held in Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka, on 21st of December 2017, Thursday. It will take place in Shangri-la Hotel Colombo.
Glad to announce that the 46 Miss Intercontinental Pageant takes again place in Colombo / Sri Lanka.Contestants from about 60 countries will participate in the 2-week festival leading up to the crowning of a new Miss Intercontinental. Puerto Rico's Heilymar Rosario Velazquez will crown her successor at the end of the event.
Arrival Dates are 6 and 7 December 2017
Finale is on Thursday 21 December 2017
Departure Day is the 22/23 December 2017 according to flight abilities.

Misters Of Filipinas 2017 Official Candidates

Prime Event Productions Foundation Inc (PEPPS) released the official 24 contestants of Misters of Filipinas 2017. With its theme "Celebrating Masculinity with Responsibility", the candidates will compete for different titles and will represent the Philippines at Mister International, Man of the Year and others.
The grand finals of the Misters of Filipinas will be on Sept. 30 at the One Esplanade in Mall of Asia Complex in Pasay City.

Samantha Iris Ricalde is Face of Beauty Philippines 2017
15-year-old Samantha Iris Ricalde is currently carrying the Philippines' sash in the Face of Beauty International 2017 pageant in New Delhi, India. This 5'9" stunner is a Grade 10 student at Angelicum College and received beauty pageant training from Kagandahang Flores Beauty Camp.
The 6th edition Face of Beauty International pageant is organized by Rubaru-Group and will be held at The Leela Ambience Convention Hall, Karkardooma in New Delhi, India on the 23rd of September. Alena Raeva of Russia will crown her successor at the end of the event.

Bulgaria crowns Reps for 2017's Miss Universe and Miss World
Bulgaria's beauty ambassadors for 2017's Miss Universe and Miss World pageants have been crowned at the crowning event held at Rainbow Plaza in Sofia, Bulgaria on 14th September 2017.
25-year-old Veronica Stefanova from Western Bulgaria was named Miss World Bulgaria 2017 and will now represent her country at the Miss World 2017 competition in Sanya, China on November 18. This political Science graduate from New Bulgarian University succeeds Galina Mihaylova. She had also participated in different pageants from the past including Miss Tourism Europe in 2015 where she won the title, she was named Miss Motoring and World Beauty Queen 2015's First Runner-Up

At the same coronation night, Ralitsa Kandova took the Miss Grand International Bulgaria 2017 title, while Steliana Ivanova and Vladlena Andreevna were crowned Miss Model of the World Bulgaria 2017 and Miss Seven Continents Bulgaria 2017 respectively.

Miss World Turkey 2017 Stripped of her Title over Coup Tweet
The winner of Miss World Turkey 2017 title has been stripped of her crown hours after winning the Miss Turkey 2017 pageant. The culprit: a twitter post.
Itir Esen, an 18-year-old English Student, had her crown taken away after the pageant organization discovered her harsh tweet posted last July. The tweet was posted around the first anniversary of the 15 July coup attempt, when nearly 250 people died fighting government's army.
“I got my period on the morning of the July 15 martyrs’ day. I’m marking the day by bleeding as a representation of the martyrs’ blood.”
With Itir's out, the Miss World Turkey 2017 will now belong to Asli Sumen who previously named as Miss Universe Turkey. She will now represent her country at the Miss World 2017 competition in China on November 18.

Paththage Visna Kawmini Fernando, a 26-year-old professional model with the height of 176 cm was crowned Miss Grand Sri Lanka 2017. Her hobbies include reading, volunteering at Manusath Derana on Kidney diseases with media channel TV Derana, spending time with her pets, watching movies, and listening to music.
She is also good at drawing, carving, and used to be a national netball player during 2009-2013. Her ambition is to achieve all her goals and be a successful woman and to help and encourage other women to achieve their goals.
