Kara McCullough is Miss USA 2017 |
It's a back-to back win for District of Columbia!
Kara McCullough was crowned the 2017 Miss USA winner on Sunday at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, May 14, 2017. She will now go on to represent the United States in the 66th edition of Miss Universe pageant.
The show will be hosted by Julianne Hough and Terrence J.
Kara bested out 50 other delegates and succeeds last year's winner Deshauna Barber who is also from District of Colombia. Chhavi Verg of New Jersey placed first runner-up while Miss Minnesota Meridith Gould was the second runner-up.
Kara works as a physical scientist at the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
