Martrecia Cherisse Alleyne, the first runner-up at Miss Trinidad and Tobago 2017, was hand-picked to represent the country at Miss Universe 2018 pageant.

This 28-year-old beauty works as Visual Merchandising Coordinator at the Ashley Furniture Homestore in Trinidad.



Martrecia Alleyne is a returning National Scholar and former Valedictorian for the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine. Alleyne was born and raised in St. Augustine, but comes from a family of blended nationalities: her parents are Barbadian and her three siblings were all born in England.

Alleyne, whose dream of becoming Miss Trinidad And Tobago started when she saw Arlene Peterkin on stage at the tender age of five, loves writing, photography, fashion and visual design plans to combine her business acumen and current career in showroom design (Visual Merchandising) to create a residential and retail design company. Martrecia would like to use her platform to bring greater awareness to a cause close to the heart: Alzheimer’s research and assist by forming support groups for those affected by the disease. She also plans to promote adoption as an option in Trinidad and Tobago.

Miss Earth Pageant is delighted to announce that Miss Earth 2016 Katherine Espin has been appointed as the new National Director of the Miss Earth Ecuador (Miss Tierra Ecuador).
Katherine takes over from José Hidalgo León, the former National Director. Katherine represented Ecuador at Miss Earth 2016 in Manila, Philippines and won the coveted title, getting Ecuador's second Miss Earth title.

Ecuador has produced 2 Miss Earth winners: Olga Alava in 2011 and Katherine Espin in 2016; and 1 Miss Earth-Air Jennifer Stephanie Pazmiño Saldaña in 2010.

Wow! The time of God is perfect and for that reason I feel so grateful for this new challenge that has been granted to me by the International Organization Miss Earth in which I will have the responsibility of choosing the next worthy representative of my country for the International competition. Miss Earth 2018. This gift that I receive today is thanks to the work done during a year as Miss Earth 2016 where the organization has honored me because they trust in my potential and in the good that I will contribute for the main cause of this contest, which is the environment. I am very passionate about this new project for which I will give all my time and dedication. There is no better reward than doing good and receiving blessings from heaven. Many thanks to each of you for supporting my cause and my work. Many surprises are coming from which I will update them little by little.

Miss Earth Air 2016 Michelle Gomez of Colombia is proud to embrace Filipino cultures as being in the Philippines is always a special place for her, no matter how many times she has visited.

Michelle has signed up a contract with talent management Viva Artists Agency on February 5, 2018. This 25-year-old beauty made history for Colombia as the first ever Colombian elemental queen after bagging the Miss Earth - Air title in 2016.

An example of successful Miss Earth warrior who stayed in the Philippines for good was Miss Earth 2004 Priscilla Meirelles from Brazil.

Osmel Sousa, who ruled the Miss Venezuela Organization for almost 40 years, resigned as President on Monday, February 6, 2017.
The Venezuelan beauty czar announced his resignation via Osmel's official Instagram, @zardelabelleza.

I made many dreams, I brought many triumphs and I gave joy to a nation. Today I decide to retire from the presidency of the Miss Venezuela Organization through the big door, through the same door that I entered almost 40 years ago with the help of my great friend Gustavo Cisneros. I will continue fighting and working for a better country, hand in hand with God and all of you. A thousand thanks for so many joys #Missvenezuela s #MissVenezuela We will continue seeing each other.

The 71-year-old Sousa has been called a Pygmalion, an artist who turns out talented and beautiful young women. To date, Venezuela has had seven Miss Universe titleholders, six Miss World winners, seven Miss International crowns, and two wins in Miss Earth, becoming the most successful pageant powerhouse in history.

Phongsan Suwanliwong won the Mister International Thailand 2017 held on 24th December 2017 at Himmapan Theater SHOW DC in Bangkok, Thailand.

This 27-year-old 5'10"-tall art graduate from Rangsit University will represent Thailand at the 12th Mister International to be held on 30th April 2018 in Yangon, Myanmar.

MISTER SINGAPORE 2017

On August 18, 25-year-old Marvin Soh was named Mister Singapore 2017 and became the second man from Pasir Ris to bring home the title. Marvin was chosen by the Mister International Organization that recognized the confidence Marvin displayed as a contestant. He will go on to represent Singapore in the 12th Annual Mister International Competition this year.

Having lived in Pasir Ris all his life, Marvin spent his youth as a very active kid who got on very well with his neighbors. Throughout his high school and polytechnic career, Marvin kept busy by focusing on his studies and allocating any spare time to practicing judo, boxing and gym workout. While in national service, he once signed on as a pilot cadet with the Republic of Singapore Air Force.

The transition to higher education was easy for a savvy person like Marvin, even if it did involve getting his brain switched back to the studying mode. Although he was accepted for university studies, Marvin decided to focus on sports science that he had been avid about long before his national service stint and a subject that encouraged him to become a certified personal trainer. As a competitive sports model who had won the NABBA WFF Mortal Battle both at national and international levels, Marvin became increasingly more interested in issues that affect men and women in Singapore – and in our world – which inspired him to build a platform for topics he is passionate about.

Since young, Marvin has always believed people live for a purpose, and his purpose is to help people. Currently working as an assistant manager, fitness team leader and a personal trainer for a renowned global gym, Marvin hopes to be the top personal trainer equipped with vast knowledge that allows him to give talks, mentor new personal trainers, and write a book about healthy living.

Marvin will have a head start in promoting healthy lifestyle and impacting people’s lives for the better as he steps into his reign as Mister Singapore.

Miss Universe 2012 First Runner-Up Janine Tugonon, a former MSA Model in the US, has signed a modeling contract with UK-based Select Model Management, one of the largest modeling and talent agencies in Europe.

Janine, who made history as the first Filipino model featured in Victoria’s Secret campaign, gladly announced the news on Monday, February 12, on Instagram. Congratulations Janine!
