Miss International 2017 Pageant To Be Held on November 14th in Tokyo

Miss International 2017 will take place at the Tokyo Dome City Hall in Tokyo, Japan on Tuesday, November 14th! 70 delegates from all over the world will compete in the 57th edition of the Tokyo-based international pageant.

Philippines' Kylie Verzosa will crown her successor at the end of the event.

Liza Soberano To Play Pia Wurtzbach in "MMK"

Pia Wurtzbach won the Philippines its third Miss Universe crown and her story will soon be told on the long-running series Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK).

Pia will be portrayed by none other than Liza Soberano! This was revealed by  G3 San Diego, movie and television writer, through her Instagram's post tonight, May 22.

In an Instagram post, G3 showed a photo of her with Liza Soberano and Direk Nuel Naval and captioned which gave out that the actress will play as Miss Universe 2015 :
 "i simply cant say no to my love Direk @directfromncn, i play a cameo in the life story of Pia Wurtzbach starring @lizasoberano. On MMK this June!" 



Meanwhile,  William Lee O'Brian (boyfriend of comedy actress Pokwang) was delighted to reveal in his instagram that he will play as Pia's father Uwe Wurtzbach together with Divine Diva Zsa Zsa Padilla as Queen P's mother Cheryl Alonzo Tyndall.




UPDATED: Zsa Zsa also took to her Instagram with Liza Soberano during MMK taping.

Miss Global Philippines 2017 Official Contestants

The winner of the Miss Global Philippines 2017 will promote Philippine tourism here and abroad. She will also represent the country at this year's Miss Global International. The Miss Global Philippines 2017 finals night will be held on June 24th at the Newport Performing Arts theater in Resorts World Manila, and will air on GMA in July. Reigning Miss Global Philippines and Miss Global 2016 1st Runner-up Camille Hirro will crown her successor at the end of the event.

Vian Sulaimani is Miss Iraq 2017

At the grand finale of Miss Iraq 2017,  Kurdish beauty Vian Sulaimani was adjudged winner. She will now represent her country at Miss World or Miss Universe 2017.

Miss Iraq 2017 (winner): Vian Amer Noori Sulaimani (Miss Karkh-West Baghdad)
1st Runner-up: Masty Hama (Miss Halabja Hawraman)
2nd Runner-up: Marina Roqan (Miss Rusafa-East Baghdad)
3rd Runner-up: Sara Abdulwahid (Miss Erbil)

23-year-old old Kurdish beauty Vian who works at an insurance investment company in Baghdad but originally from city of Sulaymaniyah. She is the second woman to be crowned Miss Iraq since 1972.
Last year, Shaymaa Qasim was given the opportunity by Miss Universe Org. to represent Iraq in the 65th edition of the pageant. However, her participation was withdrawn due to a fallout between her and the organizers & Ministry of Culture, which supervises the event.

Andre Miguel Bernal will represent Cuba at the 10th edition of Men Universe Model which will be held from 5th-16th of June 2017 in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

Andre is a 21-year- old professional model, and a dancer. Cuba last represented in Men Universe Model in 2014 by Frank Valdés but went unplaced.

Philippines Wins Miss Pacific World 2017

Beatrice Andrada of the Philippines was crowned Miss Pacific World 2017  in a pageant held in Monkey Beach Club ILo Peru, Saturday evening, on May 27, 2017.

Bea was born and raised in Quezon City, Philippines until the age of 12. Her family moved to Toronto, Ontario, Canada and after 8 years she became a dual citizen and joined the International Professional Entertainment Network (IPEN) led by Edgar Sulit. This is the only group in Toronto that trains and sends beauty queens/kings to international pageants. Being a part of this group gave her the opportunity to be Mutya Ng Pilipinas Canada 2014.

Beatrice works as a Logistics Processor at Nordstrom Toronto Eaton Centre in Canada. Congratulations Beatrice!

Marie Lynch is Miss Earth Northern Ireland 2017. This 19-year-old Derry beauty triumphed 15 other beauties including her elementals Grainne Gallanagh (Miss Air), Nadia Sayers (Miss Water) and Arlene Trainor (Miss Fire).

Marie succeeds last year's winner Julieann McStravick and will now represent her country at the 2017 Miss Earth pageant to be held  later this year.

Filipino Miss Universe pageant fans, rejoice! The Miss Universe pageant will be held here again in the Philippines!

From a very reliable source of pageant portal Missosology, Miss Universe 2017 will be held in the country at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on November 27, 2017 (tentative date).

Again,  the government "is not going to spend a single centavo" on the said event. This year, Megaworld Corporation secures major sponsor for 66th Miss Universe pageant.

When Miss Universe 2016 was held in the Philippines last January, according to Secretary Wanda Teo,  the organizers were happy with the event that was held in Philippines in January. The pageant, she said, beat out the Super Bowl when it came to popularity.

Iris Mittenaere of France is the reigning Miss Universe 2016.

Miss World 2018 in the Philippines, Under Negotiation

According to a report from TV Patrol's Mario Dumaual, the Miss World Organization (MWO) is under negotiation with the government of the Philippines to possibly host the pageant next year. While the Philippines has hosted Miss Universe pageant thrice, the country has yet to stage the Miss World pageant.

In 2014, First Pinay Miss World Megan Young accompanied by former Miss World Philippines national director Cory Quirino met with former Philippine Vice President  Jejomar Binay and  the DOT for their proposal to host the Miss World 2014 pageant in the Philippines. But the Philippine government did not pursue it.

Miss World prides itself in being the oldest surviving beauty contest.  The pageant night is managed by the Miss World Organization, which raises millions of pounds for its charity programs under the banner "Beauty With a Purpose."

Miss Grand Thailand 2017 Hopeful Dies in Car Accident

Thailand's beauty pageant community is in the state of shock after one of the Miss Grand Thailand 2017 frontrunners  Rattana Ramchatu died in a car accident on June 1, just four days after winning the provincial search, Miss Grand Uthai Thani 2017.

Fies (Rattana's nickname) was killed in a car accident Thursday morning while traveling from Chomphon to Bangkok where she had some charity works to attend as part of being Miss Grand Uthai Thani.

She is supposed to represent the province of Uthai Thani at the upcoming Miss Grand Thailand 2017 which is set to be held on July 18, 2017.

Maddison Fysh from London, Otario has been appointed as Miss Grand Canada 2017 and will represent her country at the upcoming Miss Grand International in October in Vietnam.

This 25-year old  Sociology and Sports Psychology graduate from Western University succeeds last year's Miss Grand Canada Monika Horvat.

She has received many recognition on her academic performance. She was a Valedictorian, Ontario Principals Awardee for Leadership, Awardee for Excellence in Student Parliament and was the recipient of the much coveted Spirit Award at Regina Mundi High School.

Maddison has been to New York Fashion Week twice so far and in the last couple of years.

20-year-old Nikita Chandak has been crowned as Miss World Nepal 2017 at the Hidden Treasure Miss Nepal 2017 pageant on June 2, 2017. She will now proudly represent her country in Miss World 2017 pageant in China. Nikita bested 19 other Nepal beauties and succeeds last year's winner Ashmi Shrestha.

In the same event, Rojina Shrestha bagged the Miss Nepal Earth 2017 title while Niti Shah was awarded with Miss Nepal International 2017. Rojina and Niti will be representing  the central Himalayan country in South Asia at Miss Earth and Miss International 2017 pageants.
