5'10 tall goddess Maria Pisilou was crowned Miss Star Hellas 2017 ( a national pageant in Greece) and will represent Greece at the 66th edition of Miss Universe competition. The country skipped participation at last edition of Miss Universe in the Philippines due to a lack of sponsorship.
20- year- old Maria hails from Aigio, Greece and currently taking up taking up Philosophy at the University of Patras in Greece. The last time Greece placed at Miss Universe was in 2005 through Evagelia Aravani.
