Since the pageant's inception in 1960, the Miss International pageant has never seen a back to back triumph. While other BIG 3 Pageants (Miss Universe, Miss World and Miss Earth) had back-to-back winning moments, Miss International is yet to see the most awaited event in the pageantry world.

Will Bb. Pilipinas International 2017 Mariel De Leon break the Miss International curse and win the very first back to back of its history? Can she duplicate Kylie Versoza's victory?

Since 2011, whoever succeeds the  winner of Miss International from her country clapped very (very) hard in the pageant.
Those that have succeeded their queens seem eerily to have suffered miserable fates in the pageant.
