Angola's Emerlinda Martins is the first representative of the Southern African nation in Miss Earth pageant. Martins was officially crowned Miss Earth Angola 2017 during the crowning event held on April 21. She was crowned by Miss Earth 2016 Katherine Espin and Miss Earth 2015 Angelia Ong. She competed in Miss Angola 2017 and placed as second runner-up.
She is now set to compete in the Miss Earth 2017 finals to be held later this year.
