For me, Katarina Rodriguez is the "perfect combination" of Miss Universe 1994 Sushmita Sen and Miss International Philippines 1986 Alice Dixson.
Standing 5'6, Rodriguez has caused waves on pageant and modeling world in the Philippines as she was one of the finalists during Asia's Next Top Model Cycle 2.
Katarina's family moved to the Philippines when she was only three but left it again a few years later to permanently live abroad. In 2011, she booked a one-way ticket to Manila from her hometown in Orlando, Florida after high school.
Prior to her appearance in the Asian's Next Top Model Cycle 2 (ANTM), she is a student in De La Salle University (DLSU), taking up Philosophy and Business Management. She is a member of the DLSU Women's Track and Field Team. During the 76th Season of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP), she was chosen to be the school's muse.
In her senior year, Rodriguez had three jobs while studying. She was a sales associate at a streetwear and surf shop called Pacsun and Abercrombie and Fitch. She was also a worked in TGI Fridays. There were times when she even had to mop the floors and clean toilets. She had to give to give up track and field to work even if she was already the varsity captain.
Kata is now officially Binibini 31 for Bb. Pilipinas 2017 pageant under Aces and Queens beauty camp. What Bb. Pilipinas title will you give to Katarina?
