Swimsuit Competition is Back in Miss World Pageant!

Beach beauty or "Beach Fashion" is back in Miss World!

The Miss World Beach Beauty round was a fast track or swimsuit competition that started in 2003 but was discontinued in 2014. Julia Morley, head of Miss World, eliminated the swimsuits round from the competition in 2015.

 "I don't need to see women just walking up and down in bikinis. It doesn't do anything for the woman. And it doesn't do anything for any of us." Julia said in an interview before with Elle magazine.

But now it will be back in the Miss World Pageant! This information is also confirmed by Miss World Vietnam 2016, Diệu Ngọc Trương Thị.

Last week, Yana Dobrovolskaya Miss Russia 2016 posted a photo of her in instagram wearing a bikini and captioned :

We're choosing the swimwear with @marcandandre for Miss World! Finally we have chosen a bikini swimsuit, just as I like! Will show it later

Miss World contestants compete in various categories such as Top model, Talent, Sports, Multimedia, Beach fashion, and Beauty with a Purpose
The 66th edition of the Miss World pageant will be held on 18th of  December 2016 at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland, United States just south of Washington, D.C.
