One of the most spectacular and highly awaited segments of the Miss World "Dances of the World" will no longer continue.
The segment Dances of the World has become a Miss World tradition. Candidates bring national dresses in the competition to offer viewers a mixture of both traditional and unique interpretations of the contestant’s backgrounds as candidates share some of their countries´ culture through country's unique dances.
But this upcoming edition of Miss World in Maryland, USA this December, candidates will no longer require to bring national costumes unless it is a part of her talent at Miss World this year. There is a different format this year. No explanation were given to national directors of this cancellation.
Miss World 2016, will be the 66th edition of the Miss World pageant. It will be held on 18th of December 2016 at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center, National Harbor in Maryland, United States, just south of Washington, D.C. Mireia Lalaguna of Spain will crown her successor at the end of the event. This will be the second time that the United States will host the pageant.
