Miss Iceland Arna Yr Jonsdottir received overwhelming support from the netizens all over the world after leaving the Miss Grand International competition in Las Vegas.
Miss Iceland 2015 says she no longer has interest in competing in Thai-based pageant after the owner of the Miss Grand International beauty contest told her to lose weight. Arna Ýr Jónsdóttir, Miss Iceland 2015, took on her snapchat and was seen in tears last weekend telling that she has been told by the owner of the Miss Grand International pageant that she is too fat and needs to lose weight before the grand finale.
She's gorgeous, right? From woman to woman, thank you for standing up to a pageant that doesn't accept, respect, or understand diversity. I'm sure that you're not alone in what you experienced this year in Las Vegas. Last year, I wasn't the only one who was called out in front of 70+ contestants for "imperfections," and try to say that the contestants were asking for advice. This isn't advice, that is shamelessly embarrassing women who have worked hard to be where they are. I think it's so important to love yourself for who you are! Arna, you do that & more! You are an example to follow. You are such a beautiful soul that it breaks my heart to hear that anyone would try to bring you down. Unfortunately, there are individuals out there who simply see the world so narrowly but you didn't let that stop you. Keep on taking on the world! Take care of yourself lovely 💖💖 #missgrandinternation

But according to MGI organization, they dethroned Anea because she failed to fulfill her obligations as the reigning queen.
Miss Iceland Jónsdóttir took facebook recently about the incident :
“I intend to stand up for myself, women everywhere, and the Icelandic people," she wrote. "I will not let them tell me I am too fat to look good on stage. I have quit. I will not be taking part in Miss Grand International.”
