Thousands of People Flock to MISS EARTH 2016 Event in ISABELA

Thousands flocked to Echangue Municipal Grounds in Echague, Isabela last night, October 22nd, to witness the Miss Earth 2016 Group 3 Evening Gown Competition.

The event was one of the highlights of month-long celebration of Echague Mengal Festival leaded by Hon. Francis Faustino "Kiko" A. Dy, mayor of Echague Isabela.
"Mengal” is a general term used to describe a clever warrior of a tribe who advances a struggle for freedom.

Candidates also engaged in a tree planting activity at at Barangay Annafunan. Miss Earth beauties roamed around the province to uphold the pageant’s advocacy, which is no less than caring for Mother Earth.



At the end of competition, Miss Ecuador won the the Gold for Best in Long Gown Competition while Miss Panama and Singapore got silver and bronze medals respectively.

And the night ended with fabulous fireworks display from Al Quino Fireworks of Team Laguna. This fireworks competition among best fireworks manufacturers from Luzon to Mindanao are also one the events held in Echague Municipal Grounds during the festival. This event is first time in Region 2.
