Hemilyn Escudero-Tamayo, former Mutya ng Pilipinas President and a mother to two beautiful children ,was crowned Mrs. Tourism Universe 2021 in this year's Mrs. Tourism Pageant. She bested more than 20 empowered mothers from all over the globe.
This year’s pageant aired live via virtual competition. Aside from winning the top title, Hemilyn also won 6 special awards: Best in Talent, Best in Speech, Youtube Most Viewed Mother, Facebook Most Viewed Candidate, Best in National Costume, and Most Supportive Candidate.

Hemilyn, who was trained under Kagandahang Flores beauty camp of Mr. Rodgil Flores, is the daughter of former Casiguran, Sorsogon City Mayor Dr. Oscar Escudero. She is married to Philippine Air Force Lt. Col. Richard Antonio Tamayo, whose family owns the University of Perpetual Help DALTA Medical Center.
