Former President of Mutya ng Pilipinas Hemilyn Escudero-Tamayo returns to pageant scene as the official Philiippine delegate for Mrs. Tourism, an international pageant that celebrates married women and single mothers of all cultures and backgrounds.
Hemilyn is a philanthropist, investor, entrepreneur, artist, Beauty pageant producer and a Certified Image Consultant by the Fashion Image Institute in San Francisco California, USA.
'Hemi' is the daughter of former Casiguran Sorsogon City Mayor Dr Oscar Escudero M.D. She is married to Philippine Air Force Major Richard Antonio Tamayo, whose family owns the University of Perpetual Help DALTA Medical Center. They have 2 children.
Her experiences in various beauty pageants were excellent which includes the following: Ms. Photography Girl Philippines (2004)-Ms. Fujifilm. Until she joined one of the most prestigious pageant in the country Mutya Ng Pilipinas year 2005 after which she represented the country Ms. Globe International 2005 in Eastern Europe which resulted her to earn the Ms. All Nations award out of 56 countries; Ms. Bikini World in Europe ( landed one of the top 12 finalist); competed at Ms. Petite International in Houston Texas USA (2006), became a finalist and won Best in National Costume and she also competed for the Ms. Global City 2008 held in Taipei, Taiwan and won Ms. Global City-Asia. Women representing 30 mothers from all over the world are expected to participate in the final virtual show on August 3.
