Argentina's Miss World 1960 Norma Cappagli died today after being run over by a bus in Recoleta, Buenos Aires.

According to reports, Norma left her apartment, located in the Recoleta on Thursday  to walk as she used to do in the afternoon. The witnesses revealed that she had crossed the street well, on the pedestrian path.  She was going through Callao when the bus hits her. The 81-year-old first Argentinian Miss World was in coma for 5 days.

Norma was quite active on social media, always being kind and responding to her fans' messages. She was described by her niece Carla Cappagli as a strong, independent, loving woman, with whom she could easily spend hours talking over coffee.

Norma won Miss World 1960 held in London, United Kingdom. Her prize was £500 and a sports car. After her reign as Miss World, Cappagli worked as a model. In 1962, she recorded the song "Sexy World" with Armando Sciascia. The song is featured in the T.V. show Velvet.
Rest in heaven's glory Norma.
