24-year-old beauty from Cordillera Maria Belen Alderete was named Miss Universo Paraguay 2018 at the crowning ceremony of Reinas de Belleza del Paraguay 2018 on August 24,2018. This Engineering student succeeded Ariela Machado and will now represent her country at the 67th edition of the annual Miss Universe pageant in Bangkok, Thailand this December.
