21-year-old Athena McNinch was crowned Miss Universe Guam 2018 at the Sheraton Laguna Guam Resort, Aug. 15. McNinch, a University of Guam 2017 Truman Scholar, succeeded Myana Welch and will represent Guam in the Miss Universe 2018 pageant in Bangkok, Thailand on December 16, 2018.
Meanwhile, Kirsten Lydia Shelton Dahilig was named Miss International Guam 2019.
