27-year-old 5'9" tall pageant veteran Nguyen Thi Loan has been appointed to represent Vietnam at the Miss Universe 2017 pageant this November in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was crowned by Miss Universe Vietnam 2016 Dang Thi Le Hang in a simple crowning ceremony on October 18, 2017.
It turns out that she's no stranger to the world of pageantry as she was Vietnam's representative at 2014's Miss World pageant and one of the Top 20 semifinalists during 2016's edition of Miss Grand International in Las Vegas. She also joined Miss Vietnam Universe in 2015.
