Paththage Visna Kawmini Fernando, a 26-year-old professional model with the height of 176 cm was crowned Miss Grand Sri Lanka 2017. Her hobbies include reading, volunteering at Manusath Derana on Kidney diseases with media channel TV Derana, spending time with her pets, watching movies, and listening to music.
She is also good at drawing, carving, and used to be a national netball player during 2009-2013. Her ambition is to achieve all her goals and be a successful woman and to help and encourage other women to achieve their goals.
She was appointed as Peace Ambassador of Sri Lanka by the World Peace & Diplomacy Organization and she also worked as a woman sailor in Sri Lanka Navy for three years and was appreciated and certified for her work by the President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.
Paththage Visna Kawmini Fernando will represent Sri Lanka at Miss Grand International 2017 to be held in Vietnam during this 5-26 October.
