21-year-old Journalism student Melina Carballo from Montevideo will represent Uruguay at this year's Miss World 2017 pageant in Sanya, China. She succeeded last year's Miss World Uruguay Romina Trotto. Melina is not new in the glitz of pageantry as she was Uruguay's representative at Miss Grand International 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
